Rugby MAG gets off to a flying start

Last night lightning lit the sky and the leaves swirled round the carpark of ‘The George’ in Bilton, Rugby, but that didn’t deter over 30 riders who came out to the first meeting of Rugby MAG.

Autumn is definitely here!

The carpark content clearly demonstrated the broad spectrum of riders attracted to MAG. There were adventure bikes, a scooter, two very tastefully customised v twins, 125s, an AA patrol bike (!) and classic Japs in the shape of a GPz900 and Di’s lovely CB200. Oh, and a knackered old Pan Euro.

The venue, on the village green in Bilton, is so well placed, it encouraged quite a few of the riders to walk from home so that they could enjoy a couple of pints of Everards. The landlady is excited about the prospect of putting on fundraising discos and bands as the group develops.

Di Doyle is the driving force behind the group and it has been decided they’ll meet on the first and third Thursdays of the month through the winter, so if you are in the area..

Finally, congratulations to Craig, who just passed his Mod 1 test that afternoon!
